In August 2023, Interfoam fitted an additional 128 solar panels to its manufacturing plant to help towards our environmental commitment.
Following on from the 200 existing solar panels already installed, we added an additional 128 solar panels in August 2023, to contribute towards our company sustainability goals.
By creating our own solar energy, we will be reducing our sites carbon footprint, whilst using of the most reliable sources of natural energy to power our business. As a renewable energy source, solar power also doesn’t cause any pollution or damaging emissions, making it better for our community, staff, and visitors.
These new solar panels allow us to save an additional 165 tonnes of CO2 over the next 20 years, this is in addition to the savings we are making with our first 200 solar panels!
At Interfoam we believe we have a responsibility to ensure our business operates sustainably, and we are always looking for ways to improve on this. In the future we will also review the installation of more solar panels, and possibly extending them to our other building as well.
